Boys Finish 3rd Out of 46 Schools at Boardman – Girls 33rd

The boys cross country team ran a great race on Saturday finishing 3rd out of 46 schools from 3 states at the Boardman Spartan Invitational.  Boardman is one of the biggest meets around and the course was tough with high humidity. The team only trailed North Allegheny of Pennsylvania and Cleveland St. Ignatius in the team standings.  The team was led in scoring by Kyle Woods, Connor Reed,  Alex Hill, Cooper Reed, and Dominic Carosielli.  

The girls finished 33rd overall and were lead in scoring by Jenna Halco, Kylie Miller, Bella Troyer, Macey Foss, and Brooke Lieser.

The JV teams will compete this weekend at Strongsville with the varsity taking a week off of racing.  They’ll be back in action at GlenOak on Saturday October 2nd for the Stark County Championships.

Boys Win, Girls 4th at Walsh Jesuit Pat Ritchie Invitational

The boys and girls cross country teams competed at Walsh Jesuit on Saturday in the Pat Ritchie Invitational.  The boys won their 2nd meet in a row with 57 points over runner-up Hoover’s 74 points. The girls team finished 4th overall.  The boys were lead by Kyle Woods -4th, Connor Reed -7th, Cooper Reed -13th, Alex Hill -14th, and Dominic Carosielli -20th.  The girls scorers were Chloe Dostal -3rd, Kylie Miller -21st, Booke Lieser -32nd, Bella Troyer -36th, and Macey Foss -63rd.  The teams will race at the Boardman Spartan Invitational this weekend.


Boys Win Ashland Invitational, Girls Finish 5th

The boys cross country team won the Ashland Invitational on Saturday with a dominant performance up front with Kyle Woods finishing 4th, Cooper Reed 8th, Alex Hill 9th, Connor Reed 12th, and Dominic Carosielli finishing 29th overall in a race of 354 boys and 20 teams.

The girls cross country team placed 5th out of 19 schools at the Ashland.  Leading the team was freshman Chloe Dostal. The number two runner was sophomore Kylie Miller followed by Jenna Halco, Bella Troyer, and rounding out the top five was Macey Foss.
The teams will compete at Walsh Jesuit on Sunday at the Pat Ritchie Invitational.

It Was Lit: Boys 4th, Girls 9th Under the Lights at Riverside

The boys and girls cross country teams opened their season at Painesville Riverside High School for the Riverside Kickoff Classic Night Invitational on Saturday night.    The boys finished 4th out of 21 schools lead in scoring by Kyle Woods, Cooper Reed, Connor Reed, Alex Hill, and Owen Tanzilli.  The girls finished 9th overall out of 19 schools with Chloe Dostal, Brooke Lieser, Bella Troyer, Kylie Miller, and Jenna Halco doing the scoring. The teams will race again this weekend at the Ashland Invitational.


Kyle Woods Finishes 61st at State Meet

This past weekend Kyle Woods ran 16:30.7 and finished 61st out of 177 runners at the OHSAA Boys Division 1 State Championship.  Kyle did a great job moving up throughout the race.  He went from 92nd at the 1 mile mark, to 76th at the 2 mile mark before finishing 61st. He also earned Academic All-Ohio due to his outstanding GPA.  Kyle finished up an outstanding junior season and will look to move up even more and become an All-Ohioan. I know he wants the team with him there next year!
